About two weeks after the premiere of
'Stripes', an interview Cutler Durkee had with John was printed in the magazine
People Weekly, Vol. 16 - No. 2, July 13, 1981.
Amongst other things John tells about 'SCTV' and loosing weight and he has a bone to pick with a critic who referred to him as "the elephant".
Also featured are two very cute photos of John with his daughter Jennifer (17 months old) and his dog Keema who doesn't seem to be keen on becoming wet! Click on the thumbnails below to read the full article.
What great pictures of John at his home and what a beautiful dog !
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Dames are'nt bad either, this is a great site, Rene is to be congratulated for a lasting tribute to a wonderfully funny man.
Thanks very much, Piedmont. John really deserves it!
ReplyDeleteSo here I am, René, great article and superb blog. I don't know many things about Candy right now, I've seen bits of "1941", I see "Blues Brothers" on dvd almost every month (may I say also rip John Belushi), I've seen "Home Alone" several times during my childhood, and I've seen "Uncle Buck" at least twice. I plan on learning more about him and this blog will be my starting point.
ReplyDeleteMay this place grow and grow in an ongoing testament to John's legacy!
Welcome Giovanni. Thanks very much. You really have to see his other movies too, especially 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles', 'Only the Lonely', 'Summer Rental', 'Cool Runnings' and 'Armed and Dangerous'.
ReplyDeleteThat article is wonderful. Keema sure is a cutie.
